Course Objective

This course aims to give information to pre-service teachers about classifying organic compounds , basic properties of hydrocarbons (alkanes, alkenes and alkynes); to investigate reactions and synthesis of alkanes, alkenes , alkynes, alcohols, ether and epoxides

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   After completing this course, the students will be able to 1) Classify and name organic compounds..
2   2) Explain isomery and kinds of isomery.
3   3) Distinguish reactions of alkanes, alkenes and alkynes
4   4) Suggest analysis related to alkanes, alkenes and alkynes
5   5) Compare the chemical properties and syntheses of alcohols, ethers and epoxid
