Course Objective

The aim of this course is to learn the inflammatory, degenerative and mechanical diseases of musculoskeletal system and management of a patient with these; to grasp the main lesions in skin diseases and the approach to common skin diseases.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Perform the physical examination, discuss differential diagnosis, assess environmental factors in patients with generalized or local pain of musculoskeletal system
2   Explain the etiology, perform the physical examination, discuss differential diagnosis and plan the treatment in spinal cord injuries and diseases
3   Explain the etiology, perform the physical examination, discuss differential diagnosis and plan the treatment in joint diseases.
4   Explain the etiology, perform the physical examination, discuss differential diagnosis and plan the treatment in gait disorders
5   Explain the etiology, perform the physical examination, discuss differential diagnosis and diagnosis in peripheral nerve disorders
6   Explain clinical symptoms, differential diagnosis and diagnosis, the treatment of eczema
7   Discuss the clinical signs, differential diagnosis and diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases
8   Explain the etiopathogenesis, define the clinical picture, discuss diagnosis, plan the treatment of psoriasis

in the fifth years the assessments are done at the end of each block and minimum 65 is required to be successful.
DEUMF Rules and Regulations
Article 20
a) To take the OSCE and theoretical exams, task-end progress evaluations should be 60,Mid-Term Achievement Assessment (5%) and above for the 70% of the tasks in the block. The average of the task-end progress evaluations, OSCE and written exam grades should be all 60 and above and block end grade should be minimum 65 in order to be successful from the block.

Assessment Criteria

In the fifth years, the student success was evaluated on a yearly basis as an annual grade out of 100 points. The passing point of the period is determined as 65 (sixty-five).

The success evaluation score for 5. class is calculated based on the rates of the exams mentioned below.
