Course Objective

This course aims to provide students with interpersonal conflict, types of conflict, its causes, conflict resolution strategies and principles. Students are able to gain knowledge and skills in interpersonal negotiation and mediation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define basic concepts related to interpersonal conflict resolution
2   Explain types and causes of interpersonal conflicts, and positive and negative results of conflict resolution process
3   Live examples in relation to interpersonal conflicts and conflict resolution strategies, and principles
4   Describe conflict resolution principles
5   Negotiate interpersonal conflicts face to face
6   Mediate interpersonal conflicts in order to reach peaceful and constructive agreement
