Course Objective

Constituting the theoretical background on music of the students who will be professional opera singers; making them can explain and apply these theoretical knowledge during the lessons; providing their musical sensation and the development of their ability to perform by these ways.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Proficiently can read the solfege pieces with treble and base clefs.
2   Can read the pieces in the Major and minor tonalities including maximum four sharps and flats, with correct intonation.
3   Can recognise all the simple and compound measures; can read the rhythms in high difficulty in these kind of measures.
4   Can apply all the musical terms and signs of dinamic, articulation, expression and speed(tempo) in the pieces they sing.
5   Can write dictation in the Major and minor tonalities including one sharp and flat, with simple and compound measures.
