Course Objective

The aim of the course is present the methods of understanding the mythologies, analyse the effects of the myhts about gods and heroes lifes and adventures on nations which lived in past and living today,who had faith in by nations which lived very long time ago.

4   Student cognize the effect of the mythology on human life

1 Introduction to mythology: Presentation of Myth, Mythology, Ritual and the basic concepts of mythology and sources.
2 The definition of mythology and its connection to other primitive belief systems.
3 The relationship between Mythology and Legend-Epic.
4 The evolution of Mythology
5 How mythology become a research field.
6 The effect of the myths on human life.
7 The effects of the myths on art. Presentation.
8 The relationship of myth-music, the reflection of myths on music.
9 Myths about music.
10 The mythos of Universe, Genesis
11 World mythology : The myths of West and Middle-East
12 The myths of Greek, Rome, Indian, Persian, Chinese, Japanese,Egyptian, Australian.
13 Mid-term exam.
14 Overall assesment and discussing

Assignment/Presentation: Students prepare an assignment and make a presentation of it.
Exam: In one period there are mid-term exam and final exam. The exams are done written.
Attending to Course: It is obligatory.

Assessment Criteria

It is taken into consideration attending to course, it is obligatory to attend with a percentage of %70. The assessment is done by adding the percentages of mid-term exam s %40,assignment/presentation s %20, final exam s %40.
