Course Objective

Defining the basic rock types used as a marble . Marble blocks, slabs and strips learning the production process, surface process in marble and filling application and understanding of the processes used as a workshop materials.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To define the basic rock types used as a natural stone and marble.
2   To understand the block production process in marble quarries.
3   To understand the slab and strip production process in marble factory
4   To understand the surface treatment and filling application process in marble.
5   To understand the production process of a marble workshop.

Stone and basic types and properties of rocks used as marble, marble production process, marble slabs and strips production process, surface treatment types of marble, strengthening applications, the use of marble in the workshop and visual and oral
