Course Objective

In this lesson; In Turkey, as an emerging area of social support services, spiritual counseling and guidance based applications, is based on the theoretical and methodological approaches, it will focus on the social and cultural foundations on which it is associated.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn the basic theories and concepts of spiritual counseling and guidance
2   Understands the nature of the relationship between spirituality, religious space and everyday life in different socio-cultural structures.
3   Have knowledge about the social and cultural situation of the social group or people (disadvantaged) who need spiritual support services the most.
4   Analyze the relationship between the individual, social and cultural responses of the spiritual crises experienced by today's consumer societies with the tradition.
5   Evaluates the effects of sociological facts such as poverty, war and migration fueled by global capitalism on spiritual / religious life, relations, structures and institutions.

11 Disadvantaged groups and spiritual counseling: Substance abusers, crime-prone (abandoned) children and young people
12 Disadvantaged groups and moral counseling: Martyr and veteran relatives, veterans, patients, prisoners
13 Disadvantaged groups and spiritual counseling: victims, injured people, surgery and dead relatives
