Course Objective

To teach the epidemiology, etiology and classification of traumatic dental injuries, treatment priorities and post-traumatic complications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns the epidemiology, etiology and classification of traumatic dental injuries.
2   Comprehends the priorities of post-traumatic treatment.
3   Knows the healing stages of maxillofacial fractures.
4   Have knowledge about splinting in fractures.
5   Knows and gains awareness of situations that require the patient to be referred to a specialist.
