Course Objective

To enable dentistry students to have information about the disease tables that occur in the soft and hard tissues in and around the mouth.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Clinically defines superficial lesions, potential malignant lesions, hyperplasia and benign tumors in the soft tissues of the mouth.
2   Distinguishes or diagnoses tumors that are attached to the teeth and those that are not.
3   Defines diseases and treatment options in bone tissue.
4   Defines the etiology and treatments of growths in the gingival tissue.
5   Learns various blood diseases and their oral findings and has the ability to make an early diagnosis.
