Course Objective

To give a general introduction to endodontics, to give information about the history of endodontics, endodontic access cavities, dental anatomy, endodontic instruments, canal dilation, washing, pulp embryology, histology, physiology, degeneration and pathologies, and to introduce endodontic practice.

Assessment Criteria

1. The student should be able to take an endodontic history.
2. The student should be able to recognize Niti instruments in endodontics.
3. The student should be able to define the working logic of rotary instruments.
4. The student should be able to describe different torque and rotary tool operating systems.
5. The student should be able to define the importance of irrigation.
