Course Objective

To convey information on behavior management in child patient, provide comprehension of aspects of dental examination, convey information on caries and its prevention and on cavity principles in primary teeth and restorative materials for primary and young permanent teeth.

1   Classify the principles and types of communication with the child patient and parents.
2   Sort histological and anatomical features of primary teeth.
3   Explain the development of primary teeth occlusion.
4   List required information for diagnosis and treatment planning in children.
5   Classify systemic, genetic and periodontal diseases in infants, children and adolescents.
6   Explain caries and its development.
7   Define preventive applications.
8   Explain restorative principles in primary
