Course Objective

Recognition of the oral tissues, determining their physiological and pathological conditions and teaching the development of an appropriate treatment plan.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to determine the physiological and pathological conditions of oral tissues.
2   Create a periodontal treatment plan by examining the oral tissues clinically.
3   Performs periodontal treatment stages in accordance with the treatment plan/recent guidelines.
4   Performs follow-up control and reinforce patient motivation.
5   Performs supportive periodontal treatment.

Midterm Exam (40%) + Final (60%)

Assessment Criteria

1 Should be able to determine the physiological and pathological conditions of the oral teeth and surrounding tissues,
2 Should be able to create a periodontal treatment plan by examining the oral and surrounding tissues clinically.
3 Should be able to define the stages of periodontal rehabilitation suitable for the treatment plan,
4 Should be able to define prospective control of periodontal rehabilitation and patient recommendations.
5 Should be able to describe the patient follow-up after treatment
