Course Objective

It is aimed to give detailed information about the importance of the honey bee, its place in the ecosystem, its morphological and biological characteristics, honey bee products, honey bee diseases and the morphological and biological characteristics of the agents that cause diseases, the prevalence of diseases, diagnosis, treatment methods and ways to prevent diseases.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student knows the definition and general characteristics of honey bee products.
2   Have an idea about the general requirements for the rearing of honey bees.
3   Learns diagnostic methods related to honey bee diseases.
4   Applies treatment and protection methods in honey bee diseases.
