Course Objective

The aim of this course is make familiar the subjects, the properties of cell that is the building blocks of living organisms and the smallest unit of vitality, the stages of santral dogma (replication, transcription, translation) that is transfer of genetic knowledge from the hereditary material DNA to proteins, the cellular processes for genetic background (cell cycle, mitosis and mayosis with their cellular control), the signal transduction and cancer biology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Reachs core knowledge in the subjects of molecular biology
2   Understands the cell structure and function sufficiently
3   Learns basic vital activities occuring inside the cell
4   Learns the changes in cellular molecules in healty cell or in pathological conditions
5   Reachs sufficient knowledge about the qualitative and quantitative methods to measure the changes in cellular molecules
6   Develops a point of scientific view in the lights of these knowledge
7   Gains the ability of cause-effect relationships between events of vitality
