History |
This program is founded in Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences Department of Management Information Systems at 08/08/2011. Enterprises take a special interest in potential projects which make a difference for themselves in todays highly competitive and global markets.Their sources are oriented to these activities.Correspondingly, necessity of people who manage information, technology and human together have increased. Management Information Systems (MIS) Doctorate Program is designed for providing students intense information about programming languages, computer and network technologies, database, distributed process calculations, trends of technology, limits, economy, standardization, e-commerce and software management project. MIS Ph.D. Program will provide significant benefits to people who make solutions with using advanced technologies wish to work as a manager. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
To be admitted to the proposed Ph.D. program, it is necessary to graduate from the Department of Business Informatics or Management Information Systems, the Department of Management Information Systems or the Informatics Master. Graduation note, ALES and foreign language minimum requirements stated in the student purchase conditions are compulsory for doctorate of Dokuz Eylül University Social Sciences Institute. |
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
Four electives in the first semester (12 national credits = 30 ECTS), "Science Philosophy and Ethics" as compulsory courses and three elective courses (12 national credits = 30 ECTS) in the second semester, compulsory Seminar and Expertise courses and three elective courses (compulsory 6 ECTS + elective courses 24 ECTS = 30 ECTS) will be taken in the third semester. |

Evaluation and assessment methods for each course is defined in the the Course Description Form which is prepared by related faculty member / s and included in the information package. Exams and course success notes is subject to the relevant articles of the DEU Regulation on Graduate Education.

Graduation Requirements |
Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree) Program with thesis is comprised of courses (84 ECTS), a field study (3 ECTS), a seminar (3 ECTS) and thesis (150 ECTS), in total 240 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB/S/TP grades. |
