DEGREE PROGRAMMES

: SURVEYING AND CADASTRE

General Description

History

Surveying and Cadastre is a full time two year program with four semesters each 14 weeks. The curriculum covers both theoretical and applied lectures. Due to high utilization of computers and of processor embedded measuring instruments in the mapping field, graduates should demonstrate high level ICT skills. The objective of the program is to equip the students with knowledge of uptodate data acquisition methods, creating map products by computer aided data evaluation and to improve the students skills to adapt to technological advances and applications. Our program responds to the needs of the sector and trains candidate technicians who will be able to carry out field and office work, and to manage the entire map making process when necessary.

Qualification Awarded

Surveying Cadastre Program, Associate's Degree

Level of Qualification

Short Cycle (Associate's Degree)

Specific Admission Requirements

High school graduates can register for the program by getting enough points from the "Transition to Higher Education" examination administered by the "Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM)".

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Transfer Students:
The transfer student candidates from Turkish or foreign universities are subject to the YOK Legislation The transfer, double degree, minor degree and inter-institutional credit transfer and to the evaluation conditions determined by Dokuz Eylul University Senate. 2   Identify basic principles in mathematics and relate them to the geodesy field
3   Apply gained knowledge to define, evaluate and register real estate.
4   Apply techniques to the problems in the field and use measuring instruments.
5   Employ terrestrial and satellite based measurements and operate staking out projects.
6   Produce plans and maps
7   Show competency to work individually or in a team and take responsibility.
8   Explore resources, collect and use information.
