General Description

History

Nuclear Medicine Techniques Program 2012-2013 academic year was opened at Dokuz Eylul University School of Health Services.
In nuclear medicine for diagnostic and therapeutic use of radioactive substances to prepare a safe and competent manner, technological devices and imaging processing operations can be done, trained in radiation safety, to apply the technology in the field of technical equipment, have the ability to synthesize information, eye and hand coordination comfortable use, communication skills, to use the nuclear medicine specialist and provide coordination with other health professionals to train qualified technical staff.
In the field of nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging devices (Gamma camera, SPECT, PET, PET-CT, PET-MRI) was used, and the realization of the daily quality control, simple procedures for viewing (the patient to exercise, etc ...) can be made under the supervision of physicians, counting devices (gamma counter, uptake device, the gamma probe, C 14 urea test, etc.). use of imaging and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of the physician to the patient warm and implementation of the laboratory to check the quality control, in-vitro tests using radioactive materials, and the realization that we can help the physician in radionuclide therapy, open radioactive source can be run safely give the necessary knowledge and skills is an education.
Graduates of the program under the supervision of the nuclear medicine specialist in nuclear medicine in private and public hospitals, health care companies serving the industry, the research and development laboratories and public and private institutions and organizations concerned are employed.
Learning activities required by the program, employment opportunities, and planning, Ministry of Health, Health Directorates, Türkiye Atomic Energy Agency, the public and private health organizations and radiopharmaceutical production centers and shall be in cooperation with the Association of Nuclear Medicine.

Vocational high school diploma or high school diploma, placement through a nation-wide Student Selection Examination.

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Students take courses in the same program at another university credits, the program continued with the approval of the recommendation of the Directorate and the Health Services Vocational College are accepted as credits counted towards the program.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to graduate from the program are defined curriculum, professional for 90 ECTS compulsory courses and internships, for a total of 30 ECTS of elective courses must be taken and the ECTS must complete 120. Courses in grade 60 and above. Attendance is mandatory, 70% of theoretical courses, practical courses must attend 80%. Profile of the Programme

In the program, physiology, anatomy, medical and radiological terminology of the basic medical sciences courses as well as courses in general education are included. Vocational courses as physics, nuclear medicine, radiopharmacy, radiological anatomy, nuclear medicine imaging, radiology, medical laboratory, radiation safety and radiation protection courses, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine clinical applications are included. Elective courses in the curriculum of professional development, and social and cultural development is supported. 1. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Courses, student assessment, course specified forms of promotion rates, course credit in accordance with the theory, application, or both in theory and practice two mid-term exams, homework and assessment course and the course is responsible for the choice. 1 final examination. Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate, students must successfully complete 120 ECTS credits for courses and internships. Course passing system is being implemented in each of the students to be successful in a course grade point average of at least 60 out of 100 is required to provide the final grade. One course exam grade is 50.

Mode of Study (Full-Time, Part-Time, E-Learning )

Formal training is applied. 70% of theoretical courses, practical training 80% attendance is mandatory.
