Course Objective

With these courses, it is aimed to learn to work with radioactive substances in the nuclear medicine laboratory, to prepare the radiopharmaceuticals used in the nuclear medicine laboratory, to perform their controls, to use laboratory devices by practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear medicine.
2   Knows generator milking and radiopharmaceutical preparation according to reviews.
3   Knows the devices used in nuclear medicine laboratory and how to use them.
4   Knows performing the quality control of radiopharmaceuticals.
5   Recognizes the problems that may occur in the investigations and offers solutions.

Assessment Criteria

A theoretical/practical exam will be given on the devices used and the procedures performed in the nuclear medicine laboratory. Students will be given homework.
