Insurance
Health Insurance:
According to the new regulation, all foreign
students must have a Health Insurance valid in Turkey in order to obtain a
residence permit.
Option 1:
Turkey has health agreements with some of the
countries listed below. Students coming from any of
these countries are exempt from General Health Insurance fees. Please bring the
original of the "Overseas Sickness Certificate" mentioned below and
submit it to the Social Security Institution Provincial Directorate in Izmir.
In return, the Social Security Directorate/Center will give you a document that
you must have with you.

Option 2:
If there is no contract, you must have health
insurance.
The health insurance you will purchase from
abroad must have a branch of your insurance company in the country and after it
is approved at this branch, you must submit it to the
Izmir Provincial Directorate of Immigration Administration.
Option 3
You can get insurance policies from various
insurance companies during your stay in Turkey.
