Course Objective

The student who takes this course acquires information about the characteristics of individuals diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and the strategies used in their education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines the characteristics of High Functioning Autistics and Asperger's Syndrome.
2   Defines educational practices used in High Functioning Autistics and individuals with Asperger's Syndrome.
3   Defines the basic features of the methods used in teaching social skills.
4   Discusses the video modeling application used to teach skills to individuals with High Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
5   Discusses the benefits and limitations of community-based teaching practice.
6   Discusses applications related to programming inclusive environments for individuals with High Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
7   Discusses practices related to the arrangement of inclusive environments for individuals with High Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
