International Relations Office

DEU's internationalization policies are carried out by the International Relations Office. For this purpose, new collaborations are being established with educational institutions all over the world in order to increase the scientific / educational experiences of students and staff.

International Relations Office;
  • Selection, placement and registration of students / personnel who will visit institutions abroad with exchange programs,
  • It carries out the orientation of students/staff who will come to our University through exchange programs and the coordination of their communication with administrative and academic staff.

Erasmus+ at DEU

Dokuz Eylül University is a member of the Erasmus+ program and has Erasmus inter-institutional agreements with 388 institutions.

Mevlana at DEU

Mevlana Exchange Program is a program run by the Council of Higher Education that enables student/academic exchange with higher education institutions from all over the world. We have a Mevlana Exchange Program Agreement with 6 universities from 5 different countries.

Joint Degree Programs

Joint programs are programs that allow undergraduate students to receive diplomas from both institutions by spending part of their education period at partner universities abroad and the other part at their own university. Students have the chance to experience a unique cultural experience by studying in two countries. There are joint programs in our two faculties:

International Joint Degree Programs

International joint diploma programs are joint education and training programs that allow students to receive diplomas from both institutions by spending part of their education period in higher education institutions abroad and the other part in their own higher education institution. In these programs, students have the chance to have a unique cultural experience by studying in two countries.

International Students

The evaluation of the applications and placement procedures of the candidates who want to study at the Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree level within the quotas for international / foreign national students at our university are carried out by the relevant Commission according to the results of the Turkish Foreign Student Admission Exam (TR-YÖS) conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) or according to the exam score / diploma grade which is accepted by the University Senate.

Necessary information such as application conditions, application, placement and registration calendar, quotas and program conditions for candidates who want to study at Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree, are announced at http://deyos.deu.edu.tr/tr

For foreign national applicants to graduate programs and Turkish citizens who have completed their undergraduate education abroad; international quotas, application conditions and application dates are announced on the website of the relevant Institute.

Since our university is a state university, it cannot provide scholarships to international students. However, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities provides scholarship opportunities to students who are placed within the scope of Türkiye Scholarships. Undergraduate Transfer

Undergraduate transfer procedures to our university are carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation. Detailed information about undergraduate transfer procedures can be found at https://adayogrenci.deu.edu.tr/

Visa

Before coming to Turkey, Erasmus students must obtain an education visa from the Turkish consulates in their country.

Residence Permit

Students who will stay in Turkey for more than 3 months must apply for a residence permit within one month of their arrival.

Documents required for residence permit application:

1. Residence Permit Application Form
2. Photocopy of passport or passport substitute document
3. Document obtained from the International Relations Office showing that the student is an Erasmus Student for specified period of time.
4. Four (4) biometric photographs
5. Erasmus Grant Support Letter from their own universities.
6. Documents/receipts showing that the residence fee and card fee have been paid

8. Document showing that you are registered in the Address Registration System
