To gain practical knowledge and skills to prepare students with intellectual disabilities for life after school.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to explain the important legal bases in the transition of disabled students from school life to independent life.
2   Will be able to describe the situation of the family in transition to adulthood.
3   Will be able to analyze the transition planning process.
4   Will be able to discuss the necessary supports in the process of Transition to Social Life.
5   Will be able to develop suggestions regarding the measures that can be taken in creating safe living spaces.
