Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide pre-service teachers with concepts that they can teach to students with intellectual disabilities and teaching methods and techniques that they can use in teaching these concepts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to explain the concepts related to social competence. 2   Be able to explain social skill deficiencies. 3   Be able to explain social skills assessment methods. 4   Be able to explain the teaching methods used in social skills teaching. 5   Be able to prepare social skills curriculum. 6   Be able to prepare social skills lesson plan. 7   Be able to explain social skills teaching practice examples.
