Course Objective

Giving information about Turkish drama in the historical progress. Giving information about properties and examples of tradational drama genres like Karagöz, Ortaoyunu, Meddah, köy seyirlik oyunları. Tracking the tradational Turkish drama on works of republic period and after, introducing vanguards and teaching the ability of analyzing them

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn general properties of Turkish drama tradation
2   Have knowledge about tradational Turkish drama (Karagöz, Ortaoyunu, Meddah etc.) and its effects to modern Turkish drama.
3   Have the ability of analyzing the effects of tradational drama on modern drama.
