Course Objective

The course focuses on the sociological analysis of social change. The course will focus on the conceptual, theoretical and processual dimensions of social change. Thus, although how change is handled in the history of sociology and theories is examined, the main aim of the course is to conduct current discussions and research on change.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to use the relationship between society, social structure and social change.
2   To be able to explain the characteristics of social change and the factors of social change.
3   To be able to explain the dynamics of social change based on social change theories
4   To be able to discuss social change processes such as revolutions, globalization, information society and postmodernism.
5   To be able to analyze current problems related to social changes through a group research assignment
