Course Objective

Gender inequality and our sexist prejudices; their effects on individual and social life, especially education and health, and how different professions will contribute to gender equality will be examined.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   LO1: to develop awareness about gender inequality
2   LO2: to be able to comprehend that the main reason for violence against women is gender inequality
3   LO3: to be able to comprehend the effects of violence against women on individual and community health
4   LO4: become aware of specific types of violence such as sexual violence
5   LO5: to understand the health effects of child marriages and adolescent pregnancies.
