Course Objective

The course focuses on current issues and theories in the field of developmental psychopathology that constitute the multidisciplinary approach to the developmental psychology and behavioural genetics. It is aimed to provide the students with knowledge about the current studies and findings related to effectiveness and efficacy of psychotherapies.

1   To be able to read and summarize current approaches in the field of developmental psychopathology
2   To be able to communicate effectively knowledge and understanding of the main concepts in developmental psychopathology
3   To be able to define current research methods in developmental psychopathology
4   To be able to comprehend behavioural genetic research applied to medicine, education, economics and other fields
5   To be able to ethical, legal and societal implications of the behavioral genetic researches in historical and cross-cultural contexts
6   To be able to make inferences about developments in the light of current research.
