Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to provide an ability to follow, evaluate and discuss the literature in relation to thesis topic for the students at the thesis stage with the leadership of supervisor. Additionally, the students will become competent at the stage of application and modification of the most current techniques according to principles of scientific ethics and laboratory rules and also interpretation of the findings to accomplish a scientific study at the final of graduate education. For PhD students, specifically, these hours spent with the supervisor are important to develop their ethical responsibilities and their scientific skills such as, how to write a research project, how to write a scientific article, how to present research results.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Follow and discuss literature in relation to thesis topic and also form a hypothesis for thesis
2   Learn the project resources (institutional and national), application process and write a research proposal.
3   Perform and modify the techniques for a thesis study
4   Manage materials for a thesis study, establish an experiment and evaluate the findings
5   Solve potential problems encountered in performing experiments and develop new approaches by taking responsibility
6   Be aware of the principles of scientific ethics during the stages related to collection and evaluation of data , and also publication of article
7   Express -orally and in writing- the thesis study and current development related to interest by using scientific language in a appropriate presentation plan
8   Demonstrate independent researcher abilities in scientific environments
9   Adapt to international research institutions and share research results in international settings.
