Course Objective |
The aim is to teach the students the art centres (Tebriz, Şiraz, Bağdat etc.) directing the illumination art in history, and the features of the celi written panel decorations, its kinds, techniques and compositions. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
In this course, we will analyze the characteristic features of art schools in Tebriz, Şiraz and Bagdat, which have become art centres in the history of Illumination, and also examine the artefacts and printed or digitally recorded samples. After introducing the features of these schools, the disciplines they have affected or been affected and samples related to these, we will indicate design analysis belonging to these styles on the sketches step by step. We will also teach the kinds of design drawing, its method and technique in workshops. The students are expected to draw original designs using one or more general design principles, techniques and methods. They can make use of computer technology to prepare their assignments, designs and drawings. The students will be evaluated according to their using skills in their assignments and projects. |

Assessment Criteria |
Exams will be evaluated out of 100. This grade will be determined according to the number of the questions to be asked in the exams. And also, the project, the assignment presentation and the attendance will be evaluated out of 100. |

Course Policies and Rules |
The students coming to class late will be accepted into the class but are considered to attend half class period. All attendance will be scored as mentioned above. At the end of each course, the next lesson s subject is given to the students as study and research subject. Each lesson starts after discussing the study and research subject before teaching it. |
