Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to teach the students the history of common ceramics-tile art, ceramics-tile raw materials, how to classify them, how to prepare initial mud, and initial shaping methods theoretically. |

In this course, the subjects within the program will be taught theoretically in the laboratory with students participation. Furthermore, when necessary, students will be able to see the materials visually. |

Further Notes About Assessment Methods |
Because of being a theoretical course, we will make use of lecture notes and resources. Moreover, a bazzite shaping centre will be chosen and a research project on earthenware production will be prepared. |

Mid term, the project and the final exam will be considered in evaluation. |

Course Policies and Rules |
Due to its being a theoretical course, at the end of each lesson students will be asked to give a knowledge recycle about the lesson. So, the students will always concentrate on the lesson. Participations will be evaluated according to the criteria mentioned above. The next lesson s subject will be given to the students so that they will make preliminary preparation. |
