Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   . Etymology of Turkish motifs are used to explain patterns, identify motif, basic drawing rules,
2   Traditional Turkish motifs drawing rules of the theoretical and practical understanding of historical styles in the process,
3   Patterns outlined in the Turkish motifs and compositions, the different use of the information profession,
4   Traditional Turkish motifs and recognize the differences resulting from changes in the historical past to spend, design and composition as the original designs in various areas today,
5   Traditional Turkish motifs and forms the output according to their express classification formation phases,
6   Turkish designs are expected to have knowledge of application areas and methods of designing.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1.Courses
Students, faculty members,want to from students the traditional Turkish motifs recognition, learning Etymology of the motif, like motif, analyze and prepare accurate drawings
2, Review Sessions and Class Discussions
Designing a sketch rendering stage, the main design on the basis of the periods given for the selection, review sessions by the faculty member's first and last hour of the course will be held every week. Students participate in class discussions, to submit their views on designs will be greatly encouraged.
3. Applications
Motifs on the drawing stages in the process of applications and their presentation, students will choose research topics, work on the preparation, the sample could be informed about the drawings and papers and presentation

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

This course involves 2 theoretical course credits; and 2 practical course credits. In the educational year, both a mid-term exam and a final exam are given to the students so as to make them comprehend the course content during the lessons. By means of the exams, how much information given by the books and notes has been grasped, and at what degree the practices related to the designs have been turned into skills will be evaluated. The students will be supposed to prepare an assignment and present it in the course systematics they have grasped.
It is important for the students to attend classes because they can improve their drawing skills and because this applied course is the main course of the discipline the students related to. So, the attendance will be taken into consideration.
At the end of the term, by considering ethical, systematic, organizational and esthetical principles, each student will represent his project with a file including project stages.

Assessment Criteria

Exams will be evaluated out of 100. This grade will be determined according to the number of the questions to be asked in the exams. And also, the project, the assignment presentation and the attendance will be evaluated out of 100.

Following the course taken in the start time to participate even if the course is half lecture course participation are taken into consideration.
All entries will be considered above the general rate. Towards the end of each lecture topics will be covered in the next lesson the student is offered as a subject of study and research.
The first description of the issue presented in the lesson after the class discussion of research results before the study begins.
