Course Objective

Aim of this course is to visuallize the typographic designs desire of escaping from a two dimensional mediums and multi disciplinary usage. Being able to turn their designs into a game which makes the audience to experiences the hidden places of the language and image usage. Making students able to interact and envision their designs with different design disciplines ( architecture, industrial design, sculpture, etc...) or art (public art, street art, environmental art, etc..) forms. T o improve his/her visual communication and presentation knowledge in a creative way. Main purpose of this course is to make the student able to teach his/her knowledge and abilities to another students.

1   Will be able to interact with art tendencies
2   Will be able to take benefit from the new mediums
3   Will be able to look from a different perspective to typography and images to give new meanings and perspectives.
4   Will be able to think limitless options for different kinds of directions.

7   Will be able to work and produce at the interaction point of design and art.
8   will be able to have an multiple point of views on typography

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Meeting Stage. Brief information about the course. Examination of the new trends in typography. Interviews with students about their research and seminar subjects, probable application projects, project s conceptual backgrounds.
2 The project concepts which had been discussed at the interviews will be clarified.
3 Suggestions for project draft. Critique of research paper.
4 Working on project mockup and critics on the research paper.
5 Working on project mockup and critics on the research paper.
6 Working on project mockup and critics on the research paper.
7 Submission of the research paper.
8 Seminar
9 Developments of the project mockup
10 Working on project mockup. Election of right media and material.
11 Making alternatives for design mockup.
12 Eliminations of the final design work.
13 Critics on the final stage of the project.
14 Finalizing and critique of project.
