Course Objective

The aim of this course is to discuss the transition from the Late Bronze Age to the Iron Age in Anatolia in Western Anatolia, and the ongoing problems related to this period with the data obtained from new researches and excavations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The end of the Late Bronze Age.
2   Beginning of the Early Iron Age.
3   Evaluation of the results of research and excavations that give information about the transition from the Late Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age.
4   Investigation of Early Iron Age settlements in Western Anatolia.
5   Examination of Early Iron Age cultures in Western Anatolia.
