Course Objective

The main purpose of this course is to teach Ottoman language as a source language, the spelling rules of Ottoman language, grammar of Arabic and Persian language, and help students read literary and historical texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn the spelling rules of Arabic and Persian language
2   Translate the written texts into modern Turkish
3   Have a better understanding of the related historical periods by the help of texts written in the given periods
4   Be able to analyze the information obtained from Ottoman sources
5   Be able to scientifically evaluate the written texts
