Course Objective

Ability to explain, the discovery of America and its effects on Europe, The effects of the Anglo-Saxon Culture on the establishment of the USA, the influence of religion in the founding of the USA, the impact of puritanism s on the formation of American identity, their settlements and differences in the North and South America, the causes of the American Civil War and the American Revolution.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have the basic and general knowledge of the field, understands and evaluates this. 5. Ability to explain the emphasis on religion in the American History.
2   Ability to learn and recognize the resources related to the field.
3   Ability to explain the process of American colonies becoming a state.
4   Ability to explain the Anglo-Saxon Understanding of Culture in the founding of the USA
