Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to achieve a necessary understanding of the nature and function of historiography in terms of the historiography from 1920s to present, the Annales approaches and the new era in the historiography, documentation and
interpretation in history, the necessity of historiography, postmodernism in historiography, historiography in Türkiye, the Ottoman viewpoint of history, the period of Administrative Reforms and the modern historiography, the approaches to history in
the Republican Era, etc.
