Course Objective

The aim of the course is to deal with the effects of maritime trade on the Mediterranean peoples from the Bronze Age to the end of the Roman Age in socioeconomic and sociocultural aspects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1	Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
2	have the scientific literature related to the content of the course.
3	define the main concepts and facts related to the subject.
4	explain the origins of maritime transport.
5	comprehend the development of Mediterranean trade.
6	indicate Mediterranean sea routes.
7	explain the main stages of evolution in shipbuilding.
8	evaluate the effects of maritime trade in a socioeconomic and sociocultural context.
