Course Objective

The aim of this course is to deal with the historical process that took place in the Aegean basin and Hellas from the 3rd millennium to the 2nd century BCE.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
2   have the scientific literature related to the content of the course.
3   define the main concepts and facts related to the subject.
4   indicate the scope of Greek history.
5   explain the spread of Greek culture.
6   interpret the phases of Athens' politics, forms of government and institutions.
7   analyze the political and socio-economic structure of the Hellenistic Age.
8   evaluate the acquired knowledge in the context of European cultural history.
