Course Objective

Being able to have the knowledge related to outdoor learning environments which may be useful in primary science lessons.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to have the knowledge about the acquirements of third and fourth grades science education.
2   Being able to have the knowledge about outdoor learning environments which may be appropriate this acquirements.
3   Being able to comprehend the effects of different outdoor learning environments in science education.
4   Being able to develop samples and activities appropriate with such environments.
5   Being able to evaluate these activities.

1 Introduction and explaining of course syllabus.
2 Investigating the acquirements in primary third and fourth grades. ( science lessons)
3 Investigating the teaching methods and techniques that suggested in science syllabus.
4 What is outdoor learning -1 (discussing the basic concepts and literature about it)
5 What is outdoor learning -2
6 What is outdoor learning -3
7 Investigating the outdoor learning environments belong the neighborhood (museum and zoo).
8 An overview, Course evaluation, Mid term exam
9 Searching about the outdoor learning researches in our country.
10 Discussing the relation of outdoor learning, drama and science education.
11 Discussing the outdoor science learning models or suggestions which developed by students-1
12 Discussing the outdoor science learning models or suggestions which developed by students-2
13 Presenting the developed models with teacher and students of primary schools ( a school visit and investigation).
14 Evaluating methods, techniques and the content of the lesson.
15 Final exam
