Course Objective

Beyond using architectural communication as a technical language, it handles architectural communication with an interdisciplinary setting as reqiured by the age and performs in-class theoretical transfers (manuelly or digitally) with different disciplines.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the place and meaning of concept of communication in design education, communication and presentation techniques of different disciplines that can contribute to design education.
2   To associate architectural design presentation with knowledge gained from other disciplines.
3   To be able to transfer visual communication knowledge acquired from other disciplines through homework (manuelly or digitally) to be performed during and after the class.
4   To be able to discuss homework drafts made by hand or digital methods in the classroom environment.
5   To be able to rearrange architectural communication and expression studies in line with discussions.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 1.week:Meeting the stduents, explaning the purpose and content of the lesson.
2 2. week:Making a ppt presentation on the concept of typography videos, Definition of the first homework
3 3.week: Presentation of the first homework by the students in class jury and its grading
4 4.week: Introduction to acromatic and chromotic color. Definition of the second homework
5 5. week: Presentation of the second homework by the students in class jury and its grading
6 6.week: ppt presentation of Colage in relation to art. Definition of the third homework.
7 7. week: Presentation of the third homework by the students in class jury and Discussion of "colage" homework.
8 8.week: Mid-term exam
9 9.week: Emphasis on space reading through literature and Definition of the fourth homework as space reading through literature
10 10. week:Presentation of the fourth homework by the students in class jury and grading
11 11.week: Presentation of the fourth homework by the students in class jury contiues.
12 12.week: Emphasis on space reading through cinema. Definition of the fifth homework.
13 13. week:Presentation of the fifth homework by the students in class jury and grading
14 14.week:presentation of the fifth homework continues and the definition of the final homework for the final exam
15 15.week: Final presentation submissions.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

After the presentations about communication techniques of different disciplines (such as ppt, video, examination of student work archives over jpeg) discussion of assignments made by hand or digital methods over virtual environments.
