Course Objective |
This course aims to teach; the importance of irrigation for Turkey, soil-plant-water relations, calculation of irrigational water demand for various crop patterns through the use of appropriate methods, irrigational methods, drainage methods and economics of irrigation systems. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The main teaching method is the comprehensive explanations of graphical presentations (which are uploaded to Lecturer s personal web page) and available textbook chapters. The students are demanded weekly to read and study the available textbook chapters and presentations before their attendance. With the start of the semester, students prepare a person-specific project covering the design of an irrigation scheme. |
