Course Objective

To examine wage phenomenon in working life with conceptual varieties and with different perspectives; to analyse wage formation, its periodic change and systems, respecting economic and social needs; to explain and discuss wage systems in practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to identify wage, its components and related concepts
2   To be able to interpret the relationship between wage and inflation, productivity, competitive power, economic and social development
3   To be able to explain minimum wage and the method of its determination, to discuss comparative information
4   To be able to analyse wage justice and issues
5   To be able to introduce job evaluation and wage systems based on job evaluation
6   To be able to identify performance evaluation systems and relate it with wages
7   To be able to explain common and contemporary wage systems
8   To be able to study and discuss wage determination systems and samples within the country
