Course Objective

To know Mavlana who has an important place in our society, his life, works, mystical views and Masnavî. To learn the commentaries of Masnavî anf their characteristics. To make a detailed interpretation of the first eighteen couplets considered to be the essence of Masnavî from sufi perspective. Trying to understand some important stories in Masnavî by making use of commentaries.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student understands the importance of Mavlana and his effects in the history and culture sufism.
2   He examines the contents of Masnavî.
3   He has information about the commentaries of Masnavî.
4   He learns how to interpret the first eighteen couplets and some stories of Masnavî by using commentaries of them
5   He gains new perspectives on the thought and concepts of sufism.
