Course Objective

Having English equivalents of fundamental legal concepts ascertained, improving the ability of making translations from English to Turkish and by this way, having English texts of legal decisions and treatises comprehended easily.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to ascertain English equivalents of fundamental legal concepts.
2   To be able to express English legal concepts particular to Human Rights Law.
3   To be able to express the fundamental legal texts about rule of law and democracy.
4   To be able to make translation of fundamental legal concepts in both language.
5   To have a competence of using the concepts about human rights and law in international juridical decisions and especially the decisions of European Court of Human Rights.
