Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The lesson will be presented in class. Lecture notes will be given to students. Students will follow the lesson from their lecture notes and textbooks.

Assessment Criteria

1. The student should be able to define evidence-based dentistry.
2. The student should be able to classify the articles in the dental literature according to the hierarchy of evidence.
3. The student should be able to know how to find articles with high quality of evidence on diagnosis and treatment options in the literature.
4. The student knows how to filter in Pub Med and should be able to access articles with high evidence quality.
5. The student should know how to integrate high-quality evidence research findings into the clinical case.
