Course Objective |
The aim of the course is to enable the students to learn the structures and functions of biomolecules which are the building blocks of living organisms, and to comprehend the functioning and regulation of human metabolism, to get them informed about cell division, hereditary materials, human genetics, cancer genetics, methods and applications for analysing genetic diseases, to help students understand the function of individual human organ systems, appreciate the interdependence of organ system function and relate homeostatic regulation to health and disease in the human body, to enable students to learn the tissue types that make up the human body, the histological properties of these tissues, to identify histological problems in dentistry, to use the acquired knowledge in their professional practices, and to understand the importance of scientific and technological developments and research. Skeletal system, joints and muscles, head and neck region is discussed, with emphasis on the much more intense and is targeted for students to learn this information. Moreover, in the light of this information, they will understand the biochemical mechanisms related to oral and dental health and diseases and evaluate the results of biochemical tests in terms of oral health. |
