Course Objective

This course will be discussed the development of collecting in Turkey. The effects of cultural and social developments on the art market and collecting will be discussed especially after the establishment of the Republic. In addition, the impact and importance of exhibitions, competitions, fairs and auctions on collecting will be examined. In addition to these, the problems of contemporary art collecting are among the topics to be examined in the content of the course.
