Course Objective

To teach hereditary, syndromic / nonsyndromic hearing loss, the effects of hearing loss on language and speech development in children, objective and subjective hearing tests and rehabilitation to determine hearing loss.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the lesson,students are expected to be able to: 1. Use behavioral tests used in the evaluation of hearing in children between 0-3 years and 3-6 years,
2   2. Evaluate hearing by objective methods in children,
3   3. Have information about balance disorders in childhood, syndromic / nonsyndromic hearing loss,
4   4. Have knowledge of hearing aids and cochlear implants,
5   5. Know the basic parts and functions of hearing aids and cochlear implants.
