History |
Department of Physiology was established in 1978 with the approval of the Higher Education Council based on branch of Faculty of Medicine. Physiology MD program started to education in 2015. Duration of the program is a total of 4 semesters including two semesters of courses and two semesters of thesis. The program language is Turkish. |

Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
Second Cycle (Master's Degree) Programme with thesis is comprised of courses (at least 54 ECTS), a seminar (2 ECTS), and field study (4 ECTS) and thesis (60 ECTS) credits. İn total 120 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB / S / TP grades. |
Profile of the Programme |
The objectives of this programme are to provide the candidates with a focused knowledge of physiology and medical physiology; a general knowledge of cellular physiology and the mechanisms of the functional properties of the organ systems; as well as a detailed knowledge in his or her area of research. Program includes required courses each semester with elective courses in different areas of physiology. Students may choose courses from other divisions. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Students are evaluated with the success of 1midterms, 1 final exam, homework and projects. To be successful in courses, the student should be taken at least 75. |
