Course Objective

Organization of nervous system, basic functions of synapsis, motor functions of medulla spinalis, control of motor functions by corteks and brain stem, effects of cerebellum and basal ganglions on general motor control, cerebral corteks, intellectual functions of brain, learning and memory, limbic system, brain activity-sleep, autonomic nervous system, brain blood flow, cerebrospinal fluid, information coding at sensory receptors, somatic sensations, specials senses, vision, hearing, taste and smell

1   To explain principles of central nervous system functions
2   To explain hierarchical levels of motor control
3   To explain voluntary motor control and reflexes
4   To explain integration of nervous and sensory system with other systems
5   To explain sensory and motor cortex, pyramidal and extrapyramidal tractus and their functions
6   To explain functions of special senses and integration of other systems.
